Need missions and baddies for my Weird Victorian/Western !

So I am going to be running my own weird Victorian/Western setting. I will be using Stuart Robertson's short rules for Weird West. The game allows for magic, martial arts, and is open for me to create my own monsters etc. The game will be taking place directly after the American Civil War. The players will be federal inquiry agents deputized with the duty to investigate strange and supernatural phenomena. The mood is supposed to be a mix between Hellboy, Unforgiven, and Gangs of New York.

Some of the ideas so far are

-Ku Klux Klan is a secret order tasked with trying to use supernatural means to overthrow the union
-A German Hypnotist uses his means to overtake a town
-A Wendigo monster and a witch plague a snowy town in Northern Minnesota
-A group of bandits attempt to steal Joseph Smiths holy "Golden Plates" to use them as a weapon
-Native American shaman conjure up sinister devices to exact revenge upon a small town

As you can see, most the ideas are very vague, however it should give you an idea of what I'm looking for. Can anyone throw me some ideas, or flesh some of these ideas out. Thanks
